On the morning of June 8, To Hieu School of Politics held a conference themed “Accelerating the digital transformation for a rapid and sustainable development of Hai Phong City to 2025, with an orientation to 2030”, which was attended by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong and leaders of departments, agencies, and branches.
At the conference, Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong affirmed that digital transformation was an important driving force for socio-economic development, also an opportunity for the City’s strong breakthrough. He said that the Standing Committee of Hai Phong City Party Committee had set a target to 2025, with a vision to 2030 in which the digital economy would account for 35% of the city's GRDP; labor productivity would increase by at least 16%; creating new growth values from the digital economy with three economic pillars: high-tech industry; seaport and logistics; tourism and trade.
According to Vice Chairman, digital transformation in Hai Phong still faces many difficulties as Hai Phong's digital transformation ranking at the 21st place, not commensurate with socioeconomic development rankings... Therefore, the City will focus on reviewing the tasks and coming up with solutions to effectively implement digital transformation in the coming time.
