On the morning of November 14, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City People's Committee, Mr. Lê Khắc Nam, formally received and held a working session with a delegation from Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province (China), led by Mr. Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman Lê Khắc Nam expressed pleasure in welcoming the delegation from Ningbo City to Hai Phong. He provided an overview of the city’s strategic advantages, highlighting its geographical location, which integrates five modes of transportation, its favorable investment environment, and its stable political and security conditions—all of which form a solid foundation for Hai Phong's robust socio-economic development. The Vice Chairman noted the city’s outstanding achievements in attracting foreign investment, particularly through the establishment of a dedicated industrial zone for Chinese enterprises. Furthermore, he emphasized Hai Phong's strengths in tourism, particularly the Cat Ba Archipelago, recently designated by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site alongside Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh). Vice Chairman Lê Khắc Nam expressed his hope that the delegation’s visit would serve to further strengthen cooperative relations between the two cities across diverse fields, including economic development, tourism, and education, thereby unlocking the full potential and advantages of both localities.
Mr. Zhang Ping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress, extended his sincere gratitude for the city’s gracious reception. He conveyed his admiration for Hai Phong's impressive socio-economic progress and achievements in recent years. Chairman Zhang expressed a strong desire for enhanced collaboration between Hai Phong and Ningbo in the coming years, particularly in the areas of education and training, culture, and trade.
