A Breakthrough Step in Establishing the Vietnam–China Business Club in Hai Phong

The Vietnam–China Business Club in Hai Phong has officially been established to unite businesses and entrepreneurs across the city. This initiative aims to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in Hai Phong, while also contributing to strengthening people-to-people diplomacy and deepening the relationship between the residents of Hai Phong and China.

On the evening of October 4, 2024, the Hai Phong Vietnam–China Friendship Association held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Vietnam–China Business Club in Hai Phong. Attending the event was Ms. Dao Khanh Ha, Member of the Standing Committee of Hai Phong’s Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department, and Chairperson of the Hai Phong Vietnam–China Friendship Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Dung, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; representatives from the Union of Friendship Organizations, city departments, industries, business associations, and other related entities.
In her speech, Mr. Le Van Quy, Vice Chair of the Hai Phong Vietnam–China Friendship Association, emphasized that the friendship and cooperation between Hai Phong and various regions in China have continuously developed. Over the years, Hai Phong’s efforts in innovation and attracting foreign investments have made it a "priority" destination for many Chinese investors. Hai Phong hosts 405 investment projects from Chinese enterprises with a total investment capital of $6.14 billion. Oustanding corporations such as Flat, Tongwei, TP Link, Sanhua, and Autel are among the major investors. Most Chinese businesses operating in Hai Phong have established effective partnerships and close ties with local enterprises, contributing positively to the city’s economic growth.

To ensure the club operates effectively and achieves its intended objectives, the Hai Phong Vietnam–China Friendship Association will focus on developing practical and impactful programs and activities. The Vietnam–China Business Club aims to support enterprises from Hai Phong and China to collaborate and grow together. This partnership will not only drive socio-economic development in Hai Phong but also strengthen the cooperative and friendly relationship between Vietnam and China.
