On the morning of September 6, at Vietnam-Czech Friendship Hospital - Zone 2, 70 doctors and nurses were set off to support Ho Chi Minh City in COVID-19 pandemic fight. This is the first turn of delegation No.2 to support COVID-19 pandemic fight in Ho Chi Minh City according to Decision dated August 30 of Department of Health. Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of Municipal People's Committee; leaders of Department of Health, hospitals, medical centers, and relatives, colleagues came to encourage and saw off volunteer doctors and nurses to Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking to encourage the delegation before leaving, Vice Chairman of Municipal People's Committee Mr. Le Khac Nam praised and highly appreciated the spirit of volunteer doctors and nurses who participated in supporting Ho Chi Minh City in this COVID-19 pandemic fight. At the same time, he noted that the delegation strictly adheres to regulations on epidemic prevention and control to protect their own safety, strictly abides by local authority to complete the assigned tasks well. Thereby, it shows a high sense of responsibility, worthy of the "Bravery and Victory" tradition of Hai Phong City.

After saying goodbye to colleagues and relatives, 70 doctors and nurses departed from the Vietnam - Tiep Friendship Hospital to Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) forthe flight to Ho Chi Minh City. The delegation led by Doctor Pham Tien Thanh, Director of Hai Phong Rehabilitation Hospital, will implement specific tasks assigned by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health.

Also on September 6, the delegation No.1 led by Doctor Luu Vu Dung, Deputy Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, returned from Ho Chi Minh City to Noi Bai airport and implemented medical isolation at Do Son Trade Union Training and Conference Center (Do Son District).
It is expected that from September 12 to 15, the remaining 50 doctors and nurses of delegation No.2 will set off to support the fight against epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City.
