On the afternoon of September 29, The City Propaganda and Education Commission in collaboration with Information and Telecommunication Department, the City’s Journalist Associate organized the Weekly Press Conference on and the City’s socioeconomic development in the first nine months of 2022, which was attended by Mrs. Dao Khanh Ha, member of the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, Head of Propaganda and Education Commission; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; leaders of Information and Telecommunication Department and the City’s Journalist Associate.
According to Head of the City People’s Committee Office, in the first 09 months of this year, the City’s GRDP increased by 11.8%, 1.3 times higher than the nationwide average growth’s rise; industrial production volume rose by 12.7%; total budget revenue grew by approximately 19% in comparison with the same period of 2021; port cargo throughput volume witnessed an increase of over 9% to reach more than 99 million tons.
Besides, the City also speeded up Covid-19 booster vaccination for inhabitants; completed Adjustment to the City’s Master Plan by 2040, vision to 2050.
So far, 05 rural districts had been recognized by Prime Minister as new rural areas. Key projects’ difficulties had been solved in time to boost up the progress.
Regarding public investment project progress and disbursemen at the end of 2022, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tho affirmed that the city’s leaders had been concentrating on directing and reviewing all the projects’ progress, land clearance, resettlement, etc./.
