10th Korean Language Competition - Hai Phong 2024: Three First Prizes Awarded to Outstanding Contestants

On the afternoon of October 20th, 2024, at the Hai Phong City Conference Center, the Department of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Korean Association in Hai Phong, organized the 10th Korean Language Competition in Hai Phong.
 The Organizing Committee awards prizes to the first-place winners. 
Attending the event were Mr. Choi Gi Won, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Dung, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Jang Bog Huyn, President of the Korean Association in Hai Phong; as well as representatives from various departments, agencies, organizations, and sponsors.

With the theme "South Korea Through My Eyes," the competition attracted a large number of participants from high schools, middle schools, and various agencies, organizations, and businesses in the city. In the final round, the Organizing Committee selected 8 contestants, dividing them into three groups: A, B, and C, for the following categories: Korean Speech (individual), Video Production (individual), and Talent (group of two or more participants). As a result, the Committee awarded 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 2 third prizes to the outstanding contestants.
 
 
 The competition garnered significant attention from the audience.
 
This Korean Language Competition has been organized annually since 2015 by the Department of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Korean Association in Hai Phong. Over the past nine editions, the competition has contributed to promoting the teaching and learning of Korean in the city, enhancing the quality of human resources, and strengthening the cooperation and friendship between Hai Phong and South Korea. The 10th edition of the Korean Language Competition in Hai Phong in 2024 introduced a new approach, reflecting societal trends and development, providing a fresh perspective. The competition not only has academic value but also offers a platform for contestants to showcase their talents and strengths. Through this, the competition inspires and motivates participants to learn foreign languages, explore, and appreciate the unique aspects of Korean culture.
