On the afternoon of September 18, 2026, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat organized a Conference to announce decisions on cadre work. According to Decision No. 370-QDNS/TW dated September 18, 2026, of the Politburo, Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, was mobilized, assigned, and appointed to join the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, holding the position of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. The event holds significant importance for perfecting the leadership apparatus and driving the city's breakthrough development.

The conference was attended and directed by Mr. Tran Cam Tu, Member of the Politburo and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat. Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission, announced the decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat regarding the mobilization, assignment, designation, and appointment of 12 cadres to new leadership positions.

Party Committee issued Notice No. 586-TB/TU officially introducing the title and signature specimen of Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, to central agencies and localities.

The appointment of Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep as Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee carries profound purpose and significance for the city's development: (1) The assignment of a Party Central Committee Member as Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee completes the organizational structure of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. This ensures continuous, tight, and comprehensive leadership by the City Party Organization over Party building, government administration, and socio-economic development; (2) Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep previously served as Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission.
